With the artist’s help, the Danish institute has used numerous objects belonging to him and created a kind of Nick Cave fairyland. The exhibition helps showcase the works of an artist that is very much alive, and, according to many of his fans, still producing some of his best work. It was the idea of the Copenhagen Royal Library, and one that has met with great positive feedback. It’s not even an initiative that he advocated. The young man instructed that the little money he had should be used to finance a tiny museum that could house his work.ĭecades later, his wish has become reality. Cave would be undone by a serious chemical addiction while living in Berlin, Germany, he wrote out his will.
